ChannelOnline 5.9 Release Includes the Ability to Merge Quotes
On Friday, April 5, 2013, ChannelOnline, a CNET Content Solutions product, released version 5.9, adding new features to the already feature-rich sales operations application. Now ChannelOnline users have the ability to merge quotes, a feature that many customers have requested and are excited to see added to the tool. With the new Merge Quote feature, customers will be able to select line items from previous quotes, sales orders, invoices, or purchase orders and copy them into a new open quote, saving time and streamlining the sales process.
Along with the Merge Quote feature, ChannelOnline 5.9 introduces an updated method to enable bid / contract support on a supplier-by-supplier basis. ChannelOnline will keep track of ordering activity and notify a user if he or she attempts to purchase too many or too few of any product for a certain contract. The ability to submit contract based POs electronically to Tech Data, Ingram Micro, and Synnex has also been developed.
Other developments include expanded capabilities of the generic import template, the addition of a line item pricing calculator, modifications to the document-wide pricing tool, and the ability to change list prices for products on a per-document basis. Integration updates have been made to include the ability for Autotask users to activate the Taskfire client portal on the customer’s storesite. Quickbooks users will be happy to know that ChannelOnline 5.9 has added the ability to create tax groups for city, state, and country tax rates and additional support for Canadian tax codes.
